Vancouver and beyond
Sorry for the delay. I've been a combination on busy andInternet-less.
Oregon coast
Lets start with leaving Calgary. We left the Weston promptly at 10am after an awesome breakfast buffet. You can't beat the Westin's breakfast, especially for half off.
We rode for about an hour and saw lake Louise.
We pushed forward through Banff and got stuck behind some construction.
We were supposed to stay in revelstoke, but the place was dirty and creepy. Ben went to you the toilet and it was back up to the seat. Eeww.. So we pushed forward. Towards Vancouver. This ended up being on of our longest rides. It was a combination of awesome and shitty. Th e morning was great. We saw Banff and it was excellent riding conditions. Once we passed salmon arm things got wet.
The ride past salmon arm sucked. It was raining, windy and we had to go over a mountain pass. Semis were passing us and kicking up a ton of water. But we finally made it to bens house in Vancouver.
The next two days had some really technical riding for the street. Sharp corners with tons of grade changes.
We also saw the Oregon sand dunes

GT AND YS
Here are some photos along route 12
Back on schedule
We left Salt Lake City early Sunday morning, after a run in a with tweaker in a McDonald's. Overall Ben and I concluded that Salt Lake City was lame. There was no character. Maybe we missed something but it seemed very boring.
We took the 15 to the 91 to the 89 and then the 26. Today's riding was a blast. I had are really good time and the miles just flew by. I believe that we're around d 1,200 miles in.
The rode along snake river which had people white water rafting. I would really like to come with Sandra next time and go rafting.
When we crossed a hill along the Utah and Idaho boarder we saw bear lake
Finally we got into Wyoming Home of grand Teton and Yellowstone.
My helmet got absolutely destroyed by bugs.
Even my bike
Waiting for old faithful.
And waiting
Until....
Nope. Still waiting
We got back to camp and started cooking dinner. We had over an old friend.
When we left the parks we went through the Teton pass. It was amazing.
