First and foremost the bike ran horrible....which was fine by me. It was able to start and idle (but only with the choke on), but it was running. Seeing as how this is a 2004 with only 1,200 miles the bike had been sitting for awhile and thus the carbs got nasty<---I'm assuming.
Second is the water temperature sensor, it's located near the spark plug and has seen better days. The PO (previous owner) said that the dealership shear it off during the 500 mile inspection. Kinda weird that the dealership with check that sensor, shear it, and then not fix it... This will be a little challenging to me, as I have never had to extract an broken bolt. I have an easy out, so hopefully all will go well.
The choke lever was also smashed to shit, I'm definitely going to have to get some handlebar guards. I'm also removing my choke cable and installing a choke plug from Stead Engineering.
I also began tearing the bike Down. First the plastics, then the seat, skid plate, battery, air filter, and carb. Here are some photos:
